In her two decades of teaching, Kristy has come to love and cherish not only teaching her students, but mentoring and training new and upcoming teachers as well.  She is energized by continual avenues for program growth and improvement and enjoys exploring new educational theories, ideas, and approaches to curriculum and instruction. Kristy is currently pursuing a graduate degree with Liberty University.

She enjoys reading and also writing and has published a Young Adult genre novel entitled Brynleigh Beckett and the Key to Dalry.  In her free time, she enjoys volunteering, spending time with her family at the beach, and British whodunit series.  Kristy also loves to travel and is busy ticking all sorts of places - near and far - off of her bucket list!
